1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Doom Watcher at https://doom-watcher.com (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Doom Watcher is a product of Ignore Instructions LLC. These Terms govern your use of Doom Watcher (doom-watcher.com), operated by Ignore Instructions LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the Company”).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Service. The Service provides economic and financial data commentary intended for adults. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Description of Service

Doom Watcher is an economic recession early warning dashboard that synthesizes publicly available economic indicators into a composite score. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only.

4. NOT Financial Advice

IMPORTANT: Doom Watcher does NOT provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or any recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or financial instrument. The Doom Score, indicator readings, and all content on this platform are for informational purposes only.

You should NOT make investment decisions based solely on information from this Service. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making changes to your investment portfolio.

Past performance of economic indicators does not guarantee future accuracy. Economic indicators are inherently backward-looking and cannot predict future events with certainty.

5. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • One account per person; accounts are non-transferable
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

6. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Free (“Watcher”) tier is available at no cost
  • Paid tiers (“Guardian” at $9/month or $79/year, “Sentinel” at $29/month or $249/year) are billed through Stripe
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You can cancel at any time through the subscription management portal
  • Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  • If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and/or suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved

8. Acceptable Use

See our Acceptable Use Policy. In summary: use the Service lawfully, don't try to reverse-engineer it, don't redistribute our data commercially, and don't abuse the system.

9. Intellectual Property

  • The Doom Score methodology, indicator weighting system, and dashboard design are proprietary
  • Economic data sourced from FRED, ISM, and other public sources retains the copyright of its respective owners
  • You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service's output without written permission
  • You may share your own Doom Score screenshots on social media with attribution

10. Data Accuracy and Availability

  • We source data from third-party providers including Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), Bureau of Labor Statistics, Institute for Supply Management (ISM), and potentially prediction market platforms such as Polymarket and Kalshi. We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data
  • FRED data is typically delayed: daily series by approximately 1 business day, monthly series by several weeks, and quarterly series by 2 or more months after the quarter ends
  • Data may be revised retroactively by its source agencies without notice. Historical scores and indicator values may change as a result
  • The Doom Score reflects lagging economic indicators and does not represent real-time economic conditions
  • The Service may experience downtime for maintenance or due to third-party API failures
  • We will make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service

11. Limitation of Liability and Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOOM WATCHER AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Doom Watcher, Ignore Instructions LLC, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the Service or any content you access through it
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation
  • Any investment, financial, or business decisions you make based on information from the Service
  • Any third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Service
  • Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party

13. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • Provisions that should survive termination (limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution) will survive

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal dispute proceeding, you agree to first contact us at hello@doom-watcher.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Arbitration: If the dispute is not resolved informally, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration may be conducted virtually or in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the arbitrator's discretion.

Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in lieu of arbitration, provided the claim falls within that court's jurisdictional limits.

CLASS ACTION WAIVER: YOU AND DOOM WATCHER AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes — defined as changes to pricing, liability, dispute resolution, or your rights and obligations — we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email to registered users before the changes take effect.

Non-material changes (such as clarifications, formatting, or additional examples) may take effect immediately upon posting.

If you disagree with any material changes, you may terminate your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Electronic Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets), service alerts (Doom Score changes, system notifications), and product updates. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time via your Settings page. Transactional emails required for account operation cannot be opted out of.

17. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: third-party API outages or discontinuations (including FRED, ISM, or other data providers), government data publication delays, internet service disruptions, natural disasters, pandemics, acts of government, or cyberattacks.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Doom Watcher regarding your use of the Service, and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
